Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke star as Holmes and Watson in this marvellous adaption of the classic Sherlock Holmes tale The Sign of Four. This lavish production was made to celebrate the legendary detective's centenary and co-stars John Thaw as the villainous Joanthan Small and Jenny Seagrove as Mary Morstan.
 
The Sign of Four is the dramatic story of Holmes and Watson's search for the answers to the mystersious problems that are besetting the lovely Mary. Her father vanished ten years previously, but every year since she has received a valuable pearl from an unknown patron - she now needs an escort to finally meet this anonymous benefactor. However, during the night, a brutal murder takes place and Holmes, aided by Toby the tracker dog and the Baker Street Irregulars, must hunt down a ruthless killer and unravel The Sign of Four.
