Tobias Gregson ask for the help of Holmes to solve the murder that took place at 3 Lauriston Gardens. It was the first case that Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson worked together on. There is no record of a Lauriston Gardens off the Brixton Road, so where did Arthur Conan Doyle get the name, perhaps it was from Lauriston Castle in Edinburgh.
 
Little George Street
Just off Parliament Square, in central London, Little George St. is where Lestrade tracked down Joseph Stangerson at the Halliday's Private Hotel. He didn't expect to find him died! (A Study in Scarlet)
 
Liverpool
A major port in the North-West of England. Ships sailed from here to America. Enoch J. Drebber was thought to be travelling back to America from here but he was found murdered in Brixton.
 
Lyceum Theatre
The theatre is on Wellington Street at the east end of the Strand. It sits 2,000 people. Designed by Samuel Beazley, it opened on July 14th 1834. It was here that Mary Morstan went with her two friends (Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson) to find out why she had been receiving a pearl every year for the past six years. (The Sign of Four)
