This is where Mordecai Smith hide the Aurora when Holmes was hunting Jonathan Small for the murder of Bartholomew Sholto. Jacobson's Yard is on the opposite bank to the Tower of London. Jonathan Small paid the yard to sort out a rudder problem so that the boat was off the Thames when Holmes was seraching for it. (The Sign of Four)
